Where did you grow up, and what brought you to Harrisonburg?
I was born in Littleton, Colorado, and lived there until I was about 7 years old. My dad moved my family to Harrisonburg when he took a new job with Coors in Elkton. I've grown up in Harrisonburg since then. I went to Pleasant Valley Elementary School, Wilbur S. Pence Middle School, Turner Ashby High School, and James Madison University.
How does your faith happen in your daily life?
My faith happens daily in spontaneous prayer, treating people with kindness, and noticing and acting on God winks. In fact, I ended up working at Muhlenberg by following a series of God winks.
What is a fun fact about you that may surprise people?
I worked in public affairs for a federal government agency, and through that job, I met a few celebrities, including Kevin Bacon, Mike Myers, Jennifer Garner, and Ben Affleck.
What’s the most inspiring part of your job?
The talented and kind staff and congregation members we have here at Muhlenberg. I have learned so much since I started work here in July, and everyone has been very kind to me. I feel like I have found my people at Muhlenberg.
