Becoming a New Member

Central to our vision for ministry to be a Wellspring of God's Grace, we hope that you find Muhlenberg a welcoming community that can engage you in whatever level is comfortable.  If you are interested in learning more about Muhlenberg, becoming a member of our community, or have any questions on anything below, please contact one of the pastors.

We hold a Prospective and New Member conversation and orientation session for prospective members between worship services on a Sunday at regular intervals throughout the year - attending does not obligate you to join but gives you an opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and meet others. These event dates are updated in The Chimes or contact the church office.

New members are welcomed through affirmation of baptism during a Sunday morning worship service.  New members say "I will and I ask God to help me" as they reaffirm baptismal vows of living a Christian life and serving our neighbor - and equally, the congregation says the same and promises to support these new members in their Christian life together.  New members are encouraged and equipped to connect and find ways to share their gifts among this congregation and wider community.

Come be a part of what God is doing in our community!
